zSpace, Inc. has signed deals with five new districts for its zSpace 200 immersive learning software. The districts include Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District and Rochester City School District in New York, Ross School District in California, Houston Independent School District in Texas and Woodside Elementary School District in California.

WeSpeke, Inc. launched its Language Practice Goes Global! initiative to connect learners with native speakers in its global community to practice languages, share cultures and explore interests. Language partners can chat using text, audio, or video and create global “friends” list. The WeSpeke global community currently includes users representing 160 countries and 103 languages.

Reach for the Stars: Touch, Look, Listen, Learn, a free, multitouch iBooks Textbook for iPad created by SAS and the Space Telescope Science Institute, incorporates assistive technologies for visually-impaired students with tactile overlays for the book's interactive images. Astronomers worked with developers to translate imagery from the Hubble Space Telescope into content for students.

OSRAM SYLVANIA of OSRAM Americas is launching ORIOS LED lamps, including A-line, MR16, BR, R and PAR lamps. The lamps are rated at up to 25,000 hours. ORIOS PAR, BR30 and R20 LED lamps are dimmable down to 10 percent and are indoor/outdoor rated.
