Astronomers worked with developers to translate imagery from the Hubble Space Telescope into content for students.

The DLP IN5310a series, which consists of the 6000-lumen IN5312a and the 1080p IN5316HDa, provides connectivity and lenses, and has small form factor to suit most large spaces.

OSRAM SYLVANIA of OSRAM Americas is launching ORIOS LED lamps, including A-line, MR16, BR, R and PAR lamps. The lamps are rated at up to 25,000 hours. ORIOS PAR, BR30 and R20 LED lamps are dimmable down to 10 percent and are indoor/outdoor rated.

The dropout prevention Early Warning System and Interventions Catalog from the state's department of education will be implemented in 35 Pennsylvania school districts and charter schools. The schools, located in 23 counties across the commonwealth, will start using the system during the 2014-2015 school year.

Kahrds is a new learning platform from VIP Learning that allows students, teachers and instructors to customize their own study sets. In addition to providing content, the users determine the subject and the level of each one of the study sets. The study platform then turns the entered information into games, flash cards and tests.

A new suite of writing tools from Questia supports students in organizing and writing research papers. From Cengage Learning’s Questia.com, the new Questia Writing Center features support tools such as a topic and source generator, a thesis statement builder, and an outline creator and project organizer, among others.
