The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) awarded a learning management system contract to Schoology. Schoology Enterprise will deliver instructional content to DoDEA's K12 students and allow collaboration inside and outside of the traditional K12 classroom.

Capstone's newest line of database modules, PebbleGo Next, builds off of the company's PebbleGo databases for grades preK-3. PebbleGo Next will feature content for grades three through six. A new ACT research report shows a clear link between student academic readiness and college dropout and transfer rates. The findings suggest students at the greatest risk of dropping out are those who earn lower ACT college readiness assessment scores.

Arrow, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, introduced the Key Rotation Indicator Rose for use on the QL97 series classroom intruder lockset. In an emergency situation, the 97 Function allows the teacher to use their key to lock the outside lever from inside the classroom, thereby preventing unauthorized entry.
