Created by Story Bayou, the $1.99 app will go on sale for 99 cents on Dec. 7 on iTunes for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Brush of Truth, recognized for its appeal to reluctant readers, also is available on Google Play for Android devices, and for Kindle Fire and Windows 7 devices.

Update: The hearing scheduled for Nov. 28 on Andrea Hernandez's request to stay at John Jay High School was cancelled, after Northside ISD filed a motion to move the case from state to federal court. The district issued the following statement: "Since the Jay High School student and her father are alleging a violation of the student's federal constitutional rights, Northside ISD asked that the case be heard in federal court. The case scheduled to be heard today in State court has been canceled and now will rest with a Federal judge to make a ruling.

School District (CDSD) has chosen SafeConnect to manage its wireless network and extend it to students and faculty, allowing access to a variety of learning resources such as Moodle and Scholarport. SafeConnect, widely implemented by both leading colleges and K-12 school districts to meet 1-to-1 computing initiatives, identifies and authenticates mobile devices and provides a mechanism to assess and enforce network security policies in real time.
