Foxboro Public Schools will welcome kids back Tuesday amid a drive to make better use of technological tools - while keeping young minds, not dazzling products, center stage.
"Technology should serve the content curriculum and help students acquire knowledge and skills," Superintendent Debra Spinelli said last week. "That is our mantra. We are against adopting technology simply for technology's sake."
The school year opens with roadmaps in place: a technology plan endorsed by the school committee, and a report card last June based on at times blunt input from Foxboro parents, students, teachers, curriculum leaders and technology staff.
