After-school nonprofit hires board co-chairs and president

Non-profit international, after school, K12 robotics organization, FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) has named some heavy hitters to its New Hampshire-based helm in recent days. The organization announced the appointment of Sheri McCoy and Bob Tuttle as board of directors co-chairs earlier in the week and Don Bossi to serve as president effective May 22.

McCoy, chief executive officer of Avon Products (NYSE: AVP) and Tuttle, a 1848 Associates general partner and executive vice president of DEKA Research and Development, are long time supporters of the Manchester robotics organizations. Collectively, the two industry veterans have demonstrated great leadership throughout their careers and bring a wealth of combined science and engineering experience to their new posts, said FIRST Founder Dean Kamen in a statement.
