A fresh breeze has been blowing through Kyrene School District, which is moving away from standardization in education and focusing instead on personalized learning experiences for children, Superintendent David Schauer says.
"We plan now to engage the wider community in a discussion about what personalized learning really means," he said.
A group of people he calls a design team will go into the community and interview parents and others about what they would like to see in an educational system.
"What would they want?" he asked. "What would they desire for the children we are educating?"
