The Berlin School District looking for a new mascot after a lawsuit challenging the removal of the Indians name was dropped.
Students and parents have mixed emotions. Three years ago there was a complaint filed to the DPI over the Indian name. In 2011 a group sued the state when the Department of Public Instruction first ordered the district to change the controversial name.
In 2010 a complaint filed to the DPI over the Indian name. The school district already with plans to go through the change.
"Going to the community and students to give suggestions and then surveying," said Superintendent Bob Eidahl.
