Bob Gold heads to Arizona DOE as associate superintendent

The District 140 School Board on Monday accepted the resignation of Superintendent Bob Gold and appointed middle school principal Bob Bardwell to the position affective July 1.

Gold will begin in July as associate superintendent of highly effective schools for the Arizona Department of Education, where he will oversee special education, school improvement, Title I, career and technical education out of a Phoenix office.

Gold has served Congerville-Eureka-Goodfield schools for 20 years, first as a math teacher, then high school assistant principal, middle school principal and assistant superintendent.
