Browning Plans to Restructure Pasco School District

The 2012-13 school year starts Monday in Pasco County, but the real beginning for the school district may be in November when Kurt Browning is sworn in as the new superintendent.

Browning, who ousted incumbent Heather Fiorentino in the primary, said that over the next three months he plans to spend his time preparing for the transition, reviewing the district's organizational structure and learning what he can from superintendents in other school districts.

"We're going to start looking at how we can restructure the district and plan to move the district forward," Browning said.

Technically, Browning just won the Republican nomination Tuesday and will appear on the ballot again Nov. 6.
