California officials visit tech-driven Miami public schools

Seven Adelanto Elementary School District officials visited a handful of Miami public schools earlier this month, inspiring preparations for the opening of the district's newest science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) school.

Gus Franklin Elementary, a kindergarten-throughsixth-grade school, is set to open in August and will have a wing with virtual learning classrooms, AESD Superintendent Dr. Lily DeBlieux said.
