Capstone, a leading publisher of children’s books and digital products and services, has acquired the assets of Engage Literacy, a comprehensive K-3 literacy program, from Australian-based classroom publisher Hinkler Education. Capstone has been the exclusive distributor of the Engage Literacy program in North America and the United Kingdom and Ireland since 2012.
Engage Literacy includes leveled readers to support a balanced literacy program through written language (reading and writing) and oral language (speaking and listening) with an individual, small-group, or entire classroom. The program covers leveled readers that include both fiction and non-fiction texts paired by theme and level. Engage Literacy features digital components to support comprehension, benchmark assessments and teacher support materials.
