Charter to try again in Pennsylvania despite school district stance

A charter school with nearly 400 children pre-registered – and plans to buy what was once a prominent Catholic high school – will again try to get permission to open from local public school district officials, despite their many concerns.

Key Charter School is expected to file a revised application this week, more than two months after Harrisburg's Board of School Directors denied the first one.

CEO Ken Cherry seems confident that Key Charter will open in Harrisburg as planned this coming fall.
