Chicago Teachers Support Strike in Mock Votes: Union Chief

Chicago public school teachers in 150 schools have voted overwhelmingly in mock ballots to support a strike, an angry union president said Thursday.

The teachers are madder than they ever been in the past 25 years, Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis said at a news conference.

“Chicago teachers and paraprofessionals are fed up,” Lewis said.
