Colorado schools finding ways to bring digital devices into classrooms

Ending what some thought to be a futile fight to keep digital devices out of the classroom, schools around Denver this year are experimenting with ways to embrace personal technology in their lessons.

In one Douglas County class, kids watch a movie on a big screen while having real-time discussions on their tablets — staying, ironically, more engaged than in the past.

Denver students in a math class watch their iPads as master teachers explain multiplication — each kid interacting with the assignments at their own speed while the classroom teacher walks around offering extra help.
