Knute’s Grill erupted in cheers Tuesday night as supporters of Parkview’s two referendums passed. “You couldn’t hear. It was like the Super Bowl, World Series and Olympics all rolled into one,” said Parkview Superintendent Steve Lutzke.

Two questions were on Tuesday’s ballot, and both passed — the first question passing by only 26 votes.

The first question asked voters to approve general obligation bonds in the amount of $17 million to renovate and expand Parkview Elementary School and remodel and renovate Parkview Junior/Senior High School. The question narrowly passed with 50.57 percent or 1,146 votes in favor of it, and 49.43 percent of 1,120 votes against it.
