CTL announced their new CTL 2go PC NL5 Rugged 2-in-1 Windows Tablet, the latest in their line of rugged 2go PC laptops and tablet PCs. CTL has been a long-time partner with Intel and Microsoft Corp, delivering 2go PC mobile computing solutions for education, military, law enforcement, medical, home health care, aviation, field sales, home inspection and food service.

The new CTL 2go PC NL5 Rugged 2-in-1 is based on an Intel reference design that combines power, durability and ease of use. The 2go PC NL5 is a versatile Windows 8.1 tablet offering laptop capabilities with the option of a snap-on keyboard. Its education-specific features enhance learning and facilitate easier IT management. The NL5 is purpose-built for K-12 education, but is ideal for mobile professionals due to its rugged design.

Interactive learning and effective classroom management.

The NL5 is available to qualified education institutions with Intel Education Software such as Kno (interactive learning app), MyScript Notes/MyScript Stylus, SPARKvue (data analysis app), ArtRage, LabCam (for use with optional magnifying lens), and Classroom Management, among others. The included stylus facilitates note taking and creativity. This Windows 8.1 tablet is available with optional accessories, such as a keyboard/dock, attachable 30X magnification lens and temperature probe for lab experiments. Using Classroom Management software, teachers can control student activity by viewing or unlocking their devices and connect with students individually, in groups and as a whole. Front and rear facing cameras can be used to create videos for educational projects. “The CTL 2go PC NL5 Rugged 2-in-1 Windows Tablet is a powerful tool for today’s digital classroom. CTL has a strong history of providing innovative devices for educators and students and the NL5 is the culmination of years of ethnographic research. The result is a tablet that can meet the needs of not only students but any mobile professional who demands a fast, rugged device with all-day battery life,” said Stephanie Shea, CTL Marketing Manager.

Ruggedized for demanding environments.

Easy and rugged enough for 5-year-olds to operate, the 2go PC NL5 2-in-1 from CTL is IP51 certified for dust and water resistance. With a shock-absorbing rubber mid-frame, the NL5 has been drop tested to 70 cm. An easy-to-hold surface, reinforced corners and built-in accelerometer to shut down the hard drive in the event of a fall make this tablet ideal for students and people with mobile lifestyles. The NL5’s durability helps to reduce the risk of replacement costs.

The lightweight and versatile 2go PC NL5 combines all the best features from previous 2go PC models and adds an updated functionality and design. The NL5’s Intel Atom Z3740D 1.8 GHz, Quad Core processor is an upgrade from its predecessors, enabling a battery life of up to 11 hours when docked to the keyboard with an integrated additional battery.
