The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) announced the appointment of David Teeter to serve as Director of Policy for the non-profit organization, which provides policy advocacy, quality frameworks, conferences and assists with new models in the rapidly growing field of K-12 online and blended learning.
“We are thrilled to add David to our team during such a critical time, when student demand is increasing for online and blended learning to personalize instruction, and many well-worn policies aren’t keeping up with innovative models of online learning growing faster than ever,” said Susan Patrick, president and CEO of iNACOL. “David brings public policy leadership, passion and experience as an online teacher. He is a strong advocate for teachers and students -- an important perspective in addressing education policy opportunities and challenges at the federal, state and local level.”
Teeter has more than 25 years of professional experience in public policy, government and education. Prior to joining iNACOL, he was at Apex Learning, where he was a full-time online teacher and served as Instruction Manager for the company. In these roles, he worked extensively to help schools and school districts in more than 40 states implement online learning programs. Teeter guided the development of instructional “best practices” and managed professional development to support diverse student learning and school program needs.
