Decatur Township Schools picks Matthew Prusiecki to be new superintendent

Decatur Township School Board has picked a sitting superintendent and former district principal to be its new leader.

District officials said Matthew J. Prusiecki will be the incoming Decatur superintendent pending approval later this month of a $150,000 base salary contract. Prusiecki will be leaving the top job at Nineveh-Hensley-Jackson United School Corporation in Johnson County, a position he held since 2011.
