Authorities conducted a full investigation Thursday after a Denver-area public school received a bomb threat, KDVR.com reported.

The threat was made against the Bruce Randolph School late Wednesday and police searched the campus, the report said. The school remained closed to allow for a full investigation.

"Safety is the highest priority at DPS, and we are working closely with the Denver Police Department to take all of the necessary safety precautions to protect the Bruce Randolph campus, students and staff," the statement read.

The school district did not elaborate on the threat, nor did it give a timetable indicating when the school might reopen.
