Desert Hills (Utah) Students Learn about Computer Programming

Desert Hills High School computer programming students are experimenting with new ways of incorporating the programming theory they have learned in class. Students explore computer science in the class and usually spend most of their time learning to code simple business applications.

"I have found that when teaching computer programming, students benefit most when they are allowed to explore computer science and try new ways of applying the theory they have learned," Brown said. "The biggest struggle students have when they are first learning is that they often wonder how to apply the concepts to more than one type of program."
