Community and business members are invited to join strategic planning committees soon to be established by the Upper Darby School District.
Two comprehensive planning committees, one district level planning team and one professional education subcommittee, will allow more community involvement with the district’s education practices.
“The last several months have created much concern about our future and with our kids,” said Assistant Superintendent Dan McGarry at the school board’s Nov. 13 meeting. “And the administration in this district would like to continue to foster better connections and relationships with all stakeholders.”
It was the budget vote for the 2012-2013 school year that served as a catalyst to create these committees.
