Dozens of Florida county school security guards could be off the job

Less money coming in to Duval County Schools means about 65 school security guards could be out of a job.

"If we're going to continue to provide what children need to improve academically, we're going to have to let go of personnel because that's the majority of our cost," said Dr. Nikolai Vitti, Superintendent of Duval County Public Schools.

Dr. Vitti says all of the programs children have now are intact for next year. He says that's priority number one, even if it means pink slips for staff.
