Edgenuity, a leading provider of online and blended learning solutions, today announced that its curriculum and instructional model have been reviewed by the Missouri Department of Education and found to meet state requirements to serve as a Virtual Instruction Program (VIP) courseware provider for grades 6-12.
“Edgenuity has met the high expectations required by the state of Missouri to become a VIP courseware provider,” said Sari Factor, CEO of Edgenuity. “We’re looking forward to working with schools across Missouri, providing access to engaging curriculum and powerful online tools that will help students become more self-directed learners and prepare them for college and career success.”
Missouri’s Virtual Instruction Program works to provide enhanced flexibility and expanded course options for students across the state. Approved courses must align with national and state standards, ensuring all students receive rigorous, high-quality preparation in core and elective content areas. In addition, all virtual course teachers must hold appropriate Missouri state teaching certificates and meet the state requirements required of traditional instructors.
