David Moody and Rodrigo Farias stood on a scaffold, measuring meticulously, because it all had to fit just right. The two high school seniors had each studied solar panels for more than two years, but this was the first time they’d ever climbed on to a roof to install one.
“All our learning has pretty much built up to this point,” Moody said. “All our hard work is finally paying off.”
“We are inside of a classroom all year,” Farias added. “But to be able to come out here, and show hands on what you learned, it feels great.”
