Florida board approves use of social media by staff, students

Flagler County school policies now allow for students and staff to use social media, but that doesn’t mean teenagers will be able to check Facebook during class.

The Flagler County School Board unanimously approved changes to the district’s technology policies, which now give students and employees a green light to use social networking sites, blogs, wikis, video-sharing sites, cloud services and more. But a few sites, like Facebook, will remain blocked until district leaders give the OK to use them.
