Follett, one of the largest education solution providers in the United States, has expanded its focus on early childhood products and services through (NAEYC), the leading association representing educators working on behalf of high-quality early childhood education. Follett is a new Platinum Level Year-Round sponsor of NAEYC, the highest level of sponsorship a commercial company can offer to support NAEYC’s critical work on behalf of young children and early childhood educators.
“We are thrilled to support NAEYC to help the organization continue offering programs and services to its members and those committed to improving the lives of young children,” said Tom Schenck, president and COO, Follett School Solutions. “For more than 135 years, Follett has been helping to improve people’s lives by supporting a lifetime continuum of learning and education.”
“Every day, we partner with educators around the world to develop creative solutions to help educators face new challenges,” Schenck continued. “We are genuinely proud to provide the same support to the early education sector through our collaboration with NAEYC.”
As a Platinum Level Year-Round Sponsor, Follett – whose products and services help improve learning for 35 million students in 147 countries – will provide financial, philosophical, and in-kind support for NAEYC’s important work, and will distribute NAEYC publications. Particular focus on the new collaboration will be displayed at both NAEYC yearly conferences, including this week’s 2013 Annual Conference & Expo in Washington, D.C.
“Follett is a company whose mission and goals are clearly focused on supporting and improving education,” said Rhian Evans Allvin, NAEYC’s executive director. “They are a key ally to all educators, and their innovative new outreach in early childhood education enriches and strengthens the base from which children become lifetime learners. NAEYC is delighted to welcome Follett as our new Platinum Year-Round sponsor.”
NAEYC is the world’s largest organization working on behalf of young children, with nearly 70,000 members, a national network of more than 300 state and local affiliates, and a growing global alliance of like-minded organizations.
