As the leader in the Pre-K12 education space, Follett’s products and services help improve learning for 35 million students in 147 countries. To better serve educators with a full range of solutions that drive efficiency as well as student success, Follett is re-aligning its businesses to provide one point of contact for administrators, IT professionals, librarians, curriculum coordinators and teachers.
“By bringing our previously individual businesses and offerings together, we are better able to offer educators with a full range of physical and digital content, technology and service solutions that meet their needs,” said Tom Schenck, president and COO, Follett School Solutions.
In recent years, Follett’s individual businesses have been introducing more and more products and services to support educators working to transform schools into dynamic, collaborative learning environments. The business realignment will provide educators with visibility and access to Follett’s entire range of Pre-K12 solutions through a single point of contact.
“With the increasing shift to digital resources in K12 education, Follett delivers integrated solutions that simplify how educators provide targeted resources the moment a student need is identified,” Schenck added. “Student performance can easily be tracked, while students are able to access educational content 24/7 on any device. That’s powerful!”
Effective this school year, the following Follett businesses have become one Pre-K12 business, called Follett School Solutions: Follett Educational Services (buying and selling pre-owned textbooks and classroom resources); Follett Library Resources (connecting librarians with 12 million print and electronic titles through Titlewave); Follett Software Company (offering library and asset management software, as well as a student information and learning management system); and Follett International, (selling Follett’s Pre-K12 products and services overseas).
To provide a smooth transition for customers, the previous company phone numbers and websites remain live as Follett designs a new portal for a unified customer experience. At conferences and events, Follett will now showcase all Pre-K12 solutions in one unified space.
