Harrisburg sees mixed results on high school Keystone exams

The Harrisburg school district had mixed results on the state Keystone Exams for high school juniors.

Scores released Wednesday provided the first formal indication of actual academic progress in the struggling school system compared to goals set by its Act 141 recovery plan effective last spring.

Numbers provided by the state Department of Education show the percentage of test takers who scored advanced or proficient in each of three subject areas: biology, Algebra I and literature.
