Harrison County (W.Va.) Board of Education Completes 3-Year Energy Conservation Strategy

The Harrison County Board of Education has completed a three-year energy conservation strategy.

Board President Mike Queen said all 24 Harrison County schools participated in a Cost Avoidance Program from October 2009 to November 2012 in an effort to lower utility costs.

Queen said the school board saved more than $2 million on utilities during that time.

This represents a savings of more than 20-percent.
