High school's clean tech program gets $200K

Already earning college credits and real-world experience, Stillwater, N.Y. high school students in the Clean Technologies and Sustainable Industries Early College High School program will get a boost with a $200,000 grant from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).

At Hudson Valley Community College’s Training and Education Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing and Alternative and Renewable Technologies (TEC-SMART), Tom Barone, NYSERDA’s acting vice president for operations and energy services, announced the grant Tuesday. The funds will go to the Ballston Spa school district, which will use them for the program.
