Honeywell and Cumberland County (Va.) Public Schools announced the launch of an energy education and awareness campaign to teach and promote sustainable practices among students, faculty and the local community. The goal of the Honeywell Act! Earth program is to help the school district cut about $320,000 in energy costs over the next five years and reduce electricity use by an estimated 2.7 million kilowatt-hours — enough energy to power 230 homes for a year.
