The search for a new superintendent for Huron Valley Schools Selects apparently is over. The school board unanimously approved starting contract negotiations with Jim Baker on Tuesday, following interviews with several superintendent candidates, including Baker. Baker is currently working in the position on an interim basis until the position is filled permanently. Baker previously worked as the district’s director of human resources. He took the interim position when former superintendent Jackie Johnston left in spring to take a similar position with the L'Anse Creuse School District in Macomb County.
