The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) today announced that Illinois is the association’s newest state chapter, becoming its 15th state chapter. Named the Education Technology Council of Illinois (ETCI), the state chapter will address the needs of K-12 chief technology officers and other district technology leaders on a local level across the state.
“It comes with great excitement to have Illinois officially join our efforts,” said Keith Krueger, CEO of CoSN. “This new state chapter will strengthen the ed tech community’s voice throughout the country, and particularly in the Midwest. Through the Illinois chapter, district technology leaders can better work together to build learning environments that are suited for the digital age. We welcome Illinois to CoSN and look forward to advancing our ed tech leadership and advocacy efforts in the ‘Prairie State.’”
The ETCI CoSN State Chapter will advocate and elevate ed tech leaders through professional learning, peer networking and collaborative opportunities; serve the best interests of Illinois students; support district technology leaders in providing forwardthinking visions for their schools; and foster collaborative teams with other professions, such as curriculum and finance, to coordinate strategic leadership. The chapter represents several leading Illinois school districts
