Md. Board Narrows Superintendent Search to Three

The Prince George’s County Board of Education narrowed the field for a new school superintendent to three candidates.

Alvin Crawley will look to make his interim role permanent, but will have to contend with Eric Becoats, the superintendent of Durham, N.C., Public Schools, and Harrison Peters, a chief of schools for Chicago Public Schools.

School system spokesman Briant Coleman said the three candidates have been instructed not to respond to questions from the media regarding the superintendent search until that time.
