More Michigan schools giving kids iPads to make the most of apps

In Zeeland in western Michigan, students have taken it home to watch their geometry teacher lecture. In Novi, students used it to design the chess pieces they created on a 3D printer. And in New Haven, it’s used to check out one of 30,000 books in a school library that is 80% electronic.

And that’s just a sampling of uses that teachers and students — even kindergartners— have found for the iPad.
