Net Texts introduces mobile website and Common Core state standards search tool

Since 2010, Net Texts has worked to help middle and high schools transition to rich, interactive, digital learning environments by replacing heavy, static and expensive textbooks with customized multimedia courses. To give teachers and students expanded access to high-quality digital content, Net Texts today announces new enhancements, including a mobile website and a Common Core State Standards (CCSS) search function.

From iPads and Android tablets to mobile devices to any web-connected computer, today's students and teachers want to view educational content anytime, anywhere and on an array of devices. To provide maximum flexibility, Net Texts has now introduced a mobile site that allows students and teachers to access the free Net Texts courses using any smartphone or media player, such as the iPod Touch, that has a mobile web browser. Users simply go to Net-Texts.com on their mobile device and they will be brought to the mobile site where they can view course collections or search for a specific course.

In addition, Net Texts has added a new feature to its content management website that allows teachers to search for items based on the CCSS. More than 8,000 items have been tagged with at least one standard, allowing teachers to quickly add Common Core Standards-aligned open educational resources (OER) to their courses. Teachers can search for standards by subject, grade level, and category.

Net Texts is a free, web-based system that provides teachers access to a vast library of high quality OER content, which they can then combine with their own resources to create and publish lessons directly to students' iPads, Android tablets, or computers. More than just a content management system, Net Texts is a powerful teaching and learning tool that helps schools maximize their investments in tablets and 1:1 computing initiatives, while improving teaching and learning.
