New Jersey ed tech teacher wins international award

Aleksandr Sadiwnyk, the technology education teacher at Mount Pleasant Middle School (MPMS), has been honored for fostering technological literacy and effective STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education programs.

At the International Technology and Engineering Educators Conference (ITEEA) on March 28, Sadiwnky received the Donald Maley Spirit of Excellence Outstanding Graduate Citation award.

The MPMS teacher was nominated for his scholarship, research, and commitment to STEM. Sadiwnyk submitted multiple classroom lesson plans and materials to the ITEEA including those focused on consumer product redesign, with emphases on utilizing industry-accepted means for communicating and sharing design ideas, and human factors design considerations.
