The School Board announced Tuesday that Jim Cummins, Crowder College’s vice president of finance, has been selected as the Seneca School District’s new superintendent.
The selection of Cummins, a Neosho resident, was announced just more than a week after the board met behind closed doors with six candidates for the position.
“We look forward to having Dr. Cummins at Seneca,” board President Suzanne Brown said in a statement. “He has a solid base of experience in area schools — and specifically in the Big 8 Conference. We believe Dr. Cummins will rebuild trust within our district and with the community. We believe Dr. Cummins’ financial experience will be a valuable asset to the Seneca district as we strive to be good stewards of the money entrusted to us by our community.”
