A new, five-year road map for improving achievement in the low-performing Syracuse schools sets five goals for the district to achieve and timelines for the district to get there.
Syracuse Superintendent Sharon Contreras will present her strategic plan to the school board at 6 p.m. today at Clary Middle School, 100 Amidon Drive. The meeting is public.
Contreras and her staff have worked on the plan for five months, with input from the public and a planning team that included community volunteers. Contreras calls the document “Great Expectations.”
The school board is expected to vote today to approve the plan.
