New Washington high school tech center nears completion

A veritable Taj Mahal of vocational training, the Southeast Area Technical Skills Center located adjacent to Walla Walla Community College is nearing completion.

When finished, the 37,000-square-foot SEA-TECH facility will house four programs with room to spare and feature the latest in “green” energy systems.

And not only will its wide-open shops and classrooms give students the latest in vocational training, the building is designed to be a laboratory in itself, showing students the different aspects of a modern, large-scale facility.
