N.J. District Considers Mandatory School Uniform Policy

The pubic will have a chance to speak about their children wearing uniforms at Feb. 13's Board of Education meeting, where the policy will go to its final vote.

"There was a strong interest on the part of the board and they heard from parents who were interested," said Dr. Mary Gruccio, superintendent of Vineland Public Schools. "It seemed like something to pursue."

According to Gruccio, the mandatory uniform policy will make it easier to keep track of children who belong in the school and creates a sense of unity in the students.
