Dunham was selected by the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association (NJPSA) as the 2013 Visionary Principal of the Year for a Secondary School Principal, for his dedication and accomplishments at the high school.
“It’s a humbling experience. I’m really pleased that it brought recognition to my school and my district,” Dunham said. “Our staff, administration, superintendent and our school board put a lot of time into programs that are going to be meaningful to our children. I was nominated because of the great work that’s been going on throughout the school, and I’m pleased to see that there are fruits to that work.”
Each year the NJPSA recognizes visionary leaders in both elementary and secondary education. Potential candidates are nominated by their districts, and the nominees must then submit an application — including a resume, two letters of recommendation and an essay of achievements — to the NJPSA awards committee.
