A group of city parents is suing Gov. Cuomo over $250 million in state funds withheld from schools after the city and teachers union failed to reach a deal on teacher evaluations.
The suit, which also includes City Council Education Committee Chairman Robert Jackson, says withholding the money denies kids a constitutional right to a sound public education.
Cuomo revoked the promised money after city officials and union leaders failed to reach an agreement over teacher evaluations last month.
