Parents taking reform into their own hands

Parents should be passionate about their children’s education. Passion, likewise, should not lead to irrational decisions.

Case in point: Two parents are accused of vandalizing a classroom – with paint, ketchup and mustard – at their children’s school in Adelanto.

Prosecutors say the vandalism last summer followed a San Bernardino Superior Court’s decision to allow disaffected parents, using California’s parent trigger law, to convert the school to a charter.
