PD 360 is becoming Edivation

Thursday, July 10, 2014

On July 16, PD 360 will become Edivation—a more powerful, more personalized solution for improving educator effectiveness and student learning.

Edivation will have all of the same award-winning resources that made PD 360 the most effective, research-proven professional learning solution available. But Edivation offers even more, including:

  • A completely new operating platform
  • An intuitive, easy-to-use interface
  • Personalized content recommendations
  • Unparalleled implementation support, and much more

By making professional learning easier and more personalized, Edivation saves time, increases teacher usage, and is shown to increase student achievement.

Worry-free transition from PD 360 to Edivation

When it comes to the transition to Edivation, you don’t have to do a thing. Everything in PD 360 automatically transfers to Edivation—including usernames, passwords, account information, and data. And, Edivation will continue to be hosted on pd360.com, the same place you currently go to log in to the platform. When your teachers log in, the biggest change they’ll notice is the clean, intuitive, and easy-to-use new interface that gives them a truly personalized experience. The biggest change you’ll notice is your teachers becoming more engaged and getting more out of their professional learning experience.

The story behind Edivation

The reason for the creation of Edivation is simple. Since its launch in 2007, PD 360 has grown substantially, expanding far beyond a PD video library to include management tools, online groups and communities, lesson plans, comprehensive support, and more. With so much expansion, we decided a year and a half ago to build a new technology platform to support these and future product offerings. Edivation is the result of that effort—and it will now become the foundation for our growing line of innovative personalized learning resources.

What does “Edivation” mean?

“Edivation” is a name without boundaries that more accurately represents this new resource. It’s derived from a number of words associated with education, including “edification,” “innovation,” “elevation,” “implementation,” and others. The green “i” in the Edivation logo is a powerful symbol of the individual growth that defines our personalized learning products.

The newest milestone in a long history of innovation

The launch of Edivation serves as the next landmark in School Improvement Network’s long history of innovation.

  • In 1991, we were the first company to document classroom best practices on video featuring master teachers in urban, rural, and suburban classrooms across the country.
  • In 1999, we were the first to offer courses online with a feedback mechanism that allowed teachers to interact with the content.
  • In 2007, we became the first company to make courses, video resources, and a host of additional tools available on demand—creating an entirely new method of PD delivery and, as a result, a new category of job-embedded professional learning.
  • Now, in 2014, with the launch of Edivation, we are the first education company to create a resource that intelligently serves up personalized content based on a user’s individual needs.
