Pennsylvania board approves teacher contract after a year

The Cumberland Valley School Board sewed up almost a year of negotiations as it approved a four-year contract with its teachers Monday night.

The pact calls for annual 2.8 percent pay increases each year during the first three years of the contract. The final year includes a 2.85 percent pay bump.

Teachers will contribute more to their healthcare plans under the new agreement.
