Pennsylvania vo-tech school may ban charter students

A voting bloc among the Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School Joint Board of Directors might pull the plug on charter school students enrolling at the school.

Vo-tech Executive Director Brian Williams told joint committee members Tuesday that the board's legal counsel, Donald Spry, will draft a policy to be voted on by the committee next month that would prohibit students enrolled in charter schools from taking classes at Bethlehem Area Vo-Tech.

"Given our situation, I'm comfortable with us not accepting charter students from this time forward," Williams said.
