Phil Guenther named New Jersey superintendent of year

Atlantic County Institute of Technology Superintendent Philip J. Guenther has been named the New Jersey Superintendent of the Year by the New Jersey Association of School Administrators.

Guenther, of Brigantine, was chosen for his work on the expansion of the county vocational school from a shared-time high school to a full-time comprehensive career and technical high school focused on 21st-century careers. The $40 million expansion project and new academy programs have expanded the school’s full-time enrollment to more than 1,100 students.
