Samsung Techwin America’s Electronic Imaging Division, a leader in document camera technology, announced that it would like everyone’s help in selecting the winner of its fall 2012 Superhero video contest.

“Thank you to everyone for their fantastic videos. Each person showed their creativity and looked like they had a lot of fun portraying their favorite historical character,” said Richard Bellomy, V.P. of Sales for Samsung Techwin’s Electronic Imaging Division. “The judges have narrowed it down to the 10 finalists and now we would like everyone’s help by voting for their favorite to determine the winner.”

Anyone can view the videos and vote by simply going to samsungsuperhero.com/fall2012. The deadline to vote is December 15, 2012. “It has been so rewarding to see the imagination and talent of the students that we have decided to continue the competition for 2013,” added Bellomy.

Any student in grades K-12 who attends school in a United States or Federal Territory is eligible to enter a digital video of 1-3 minutes in length. Students are to portray a historical character and will be judged on presentation performance, character and content accuracy, and content quality. One student winner will be selected per competition and will receive $500. In addition, a SAMCAM 760 document camera will be given to their class.

The MSRP of the Samsung SAMCAM 760 is $499. There will be two competitions in 2013, so make sure to check samsungsuperhero.com in January for more details and entry dates.
